Changes to NTPC's performance MoU for 2011-12-I: 95% of audit paras to be disposed off

The Ministry of Power has proposed modifications to the performance Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to be signed by NTPC with the ministry for the fiscal 2011-12. 

• For an excellent rating on its corporate governance activities during the year, NTPC now has to dispose off 95% of all audit paragraphs pending as of March 31, 2011. The same figures for the very good and good ratings are 90% and 85%, respectively.
• The company has to continue having four audit committee meetings over the course of the year to merit the top rating, while one meeting would be enough to garner it an average rating.
