As a part of its revision to the draft MoU to be signed by the power major, NTPC, with the union government for the year 2011-12, the power ministry has also updated the project implementation schedule expected of the utility for the fiscal.
- Accordingly, NTPC has to commission the 500 MW Unit-4 of the Simhadri-II TPP by December 2011 to achieve the excellent rating under the Project Implementation performance category.
- The commissioning schedules of units 2 and 3 of the Sipat-I TPP have also been moved up, to August 2011 and March 2012, respectively, for the highest rating.
- It may be mentioned that the utility would merit the very good and good ratings for this parameter, subsequent to one and two month delays, respectively, against the above figures.
