Hazira Extension likely to be pushed back to FY 12

It appears that the 351 MW Hazira Extension project, in Gujarat, is not expected to be completed before the end of this fiscal. To blame is the developer, Gujarat State Energy Generation Limited's (GSEG), inability to put the turbine generator on the barring gear before February 2011, consequently delaying the rolling and synchronization to the same month, as well. As of now, the rest of the work is scheduled as follows:
  • Gas Turbine
 -Oil flushing completion - by 31.10.10

 -Racheting - by 20.11.2010
 -FSNL - 30.11.2010

  • HRSG
 -Hydro testing - 10.10.2010 (200 joints pending)

 -SBO completion - 31.12.2010
 -HRSG commissioning - 31.1.2011

  • Steam Turbine
 -TG deck casting - by 15.10.2010

 -ST building ready with EOT crane - by 31.10.2010
 -Supply of : HP Turbine/IP Turbine - despatched on 17.9.2010 from Hyderabad
 -LP Turbine - Despatched by 7.10.2010. At site by 31.10.2010
 -Critical piping - 30.11.2010
 -Raw water reservoir with pump house - 30.11.2010
 -Control room - 30.11.2010
 -STG oil flushing - 31.1.2011
