Adani starts third unit of Mundra power plant

Adani Power Ltd. (APL), a power business arm of Ahmedabad based Adani Group today successfully synchronised the third unit of 330 Mw at its Mundra with the grid. With this, Mundra has achieved power generation capacity of 990 Mw.
On this occasion , Mr Gautam Adani said " Mundra is our flagship plant and we hope to commission last unit of 330Mw and the first super critical technology based unit of 660Mw by end of the year.
The first unit of 330 Mw became operational last year and the second in January this year. The third unit operationalised today is the part of Adani Group's 4620 Mw coal-based power project at Mundra.
"The company has strong focus on power business and we hope to achieve generation capacity of more than 16000 MW by end of 2013 . Adani Power's projects at Mundra , Tiroda , Kawai , Dahej , Bhadreshwar and Chhindwara are moving as per schedule and the necessary work for transmission is also moving in synchronization with generation schedule," he added.
