Seven gas based power stations have registered a plant load factor (PLF) of more than 80% during last month. The 180 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) at Trombay, being executed by The Tata Power Company Limited, consisting of 120 MW gas turbine and 60 MW steam turbine unit, has recorded a 102.39% plf for the month of June this year.
- Further, GMR`s Kakinada, GMR`s Vemagir CCPP, Agartala GT, Torrent Power`s Sugen CCPP, Rajasthan Raja Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited`s (RRVUNL) Dholpur CCPP, and Gautami Power Private Limited`s Gautami CCPP have recorded a PLF of over 80% for the same month.
- On a regional level, the north-eastern region, with a generation of 372.81 MU, recorded the highest PLF at 67.9%. This is an increase over the last year`s PLF at 62.75%, for the same month last year.
- In terms of generation, the western region has the highest generation figures at 3,767.91 MU, at a PLF of 66.62%. 8In terms of cumulative figures for April-June 2011, southern region has shown the highest PLF figures at 70.5% as against 71.37%, reported last year for the same period.
