Development of high-capacity transmission corridors-II: List of 9 HCPTCs

The details of the nine high capacity power transmission corridors (HCPTC) are as under:
  1. HCPTC – I (transmission system associated with IPP-projects in Orissa), requiring an investment of Rs 8,752 crore.
  2. HCPTC – II (transmission system associated with IPP-projects in Jharkhand), worth 5,709 crore.
  3. HCPTC – III (transmission system associated with IPP-projects in Sikkim), costing Rs 1,304 crore.
  4. HCPTC – IV (transmission system associated with IPP-projects in Chattisgarh and in Madhya Pradesh, worth Rs 1,243 crore.
  5. HCPTC – V (transmission system associated with IPP-projects in Chattisgarh), requiring an investment of 28,824 crore.
  6. HCPTC – VI (transmission system associated with IPP-projects in Krishnapatnam area of Andhra Pradesh), worth Rs 2,065 crore
  7. HCPTC – VII (transmission system associated with IPP-projects in Tuticorin Area of Tamil Nadu), costing Rs 2,357 crore.
  8. HCPTC – VIII (transmission system associated with IPP-projects in Srikakulam Area of Andhra Pradesh, requiring funding of 2,986 crore.
  9. HCPTC – IX (transmission system associated with IPP-projects in southern region, for transfer of power to other regions), costing Rs 4,821 crore.
