NTPC aims to add 5,500 MW capacity in FY12

Indian state-run power producer NTPC Ltd aims to add 5,500 megawatts of capacity in 2011/12, Chairman Arup Roy Choudhury said on Tuesday. In the current fiscal year to end-March 2011, the firm plans to add 3,100 MW capacity, he added.
